• He’s a former Marine who served our county proudly at 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion
• He’s a phenomenal athlete: long distance trail runner, cyclist and PSIA Adaptive Instructor
• He was President of our local Rotary Club, serving admirably and now for 3 years has been an Assistant Governor of Utah Rotary Clubs currently serves with John Hanrahan
• His service to our local youth includes his founding of the kids running series “Moose on the Loose”
• He’s happily married to the phenomenal Katy Wang and he has two delightful daughters.
• He has 7 ½ years of experience on the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission with thorough knowledge of our County Codes. His learning curve will be quite short and sweet. He can be immediately effective as a Council Member. 

What I didn’t know before:

• He’s a real Democrat. He didn’t just register recently. He has a history of support for the Democratic Party and the causes we stand for. He’s been a State and County Delegate in past years to help other good candidates get elected.
• He has a deep commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, one reason why he’s going to print only one damned plastic sign and bicycle to your house for the photograph.
• He’s highly creative and inventive. This is a difficult year to be a political candidate and Canice has demonstrated a deep commitment to honor past campaign traditions, but adapt to recognize the reality of social distancing.  Sally Elliot
